Annual Meeting: April 20, 2021 for the year 2020

Called to order @ 8:01pm by Chairman Darrell Thompson
Official Oaths were completed for all Board Members for a 2 year term.
Opened with discussion on how voting if any would take place. It was decided that it would be taken by raise of hands.
Chairman Darrell Thompson read the agenda in its complete form.
Clerk Lori Czubakowski read : Certify Compliance with WI Open Meeting Law: Because this meeting was held per WI Statue 60.11(5) it was not necessary to post. We posted in the Thorp Shopper, on the Web page, in 1 township locations.
The minutes of the April 21, 2020 Annual Meeting was read by the Clerk Lori Czubakowski
There was a motion by Darrell Thompson, 2nd by Jerry Czubakowski to approve and accept the minutes as read.
Treasurer’s report was given. Beginning Balance Jan. 1, 2020 was $3,343.06, Income for 2020 was $620,606.29 and Expenses for 2020 were $617,605.89. Ending Balance Dec. 31, 2020 was $3,000.40. Additional Available Funds: Fire District Savings Account $50,918.45, Equipment Fund Savings $31,670.17, Highway Reconditioning Fund $41,665.40. Total Available Funds $124,254.02 Town Levy for 2020 is $38,958.00. There was a motion by Jerry Czubakowski, 2nd by Del Kroeplin to approve and accept the treasurers report as read.
Clerk Lori Czubakowski reviewed the Annual Financial Report on a page by page basis. Elector asked one Question from the Budget Summary income page line R63. Completed answer was given as to the amount on that line.
New Agenda Items:
Resolution authorizing sale of Real Estate was discussed: A motion was made by Darrell Thompson, 2nd by Kevin Knox accept Resolution 1-2021 approving the sale of Real Estate Owned by Town of Taft. Raise of hands for the vote 9 yes, 0 no. Motion passes.
Valorie Kulesa elector enters with a question regarding the breakdown of Supervisor I and II and when and why we switched to that instead of just voting for Supervisor. After discussion the was a Motion by Valorie Kulesa, 2nd by Ed Hamel to return to the previous voting method of the top two voters and changing back to Supervisors. Raise of hands for the vote 6 yes, 2 no, 1 Abstain. Motion passes. Research will be done to see if there is enough votes to overturn the first motion.
Discussion on questions from an elector brought up regarding, ditching, grader, roads, and recordkeeping.
There was a motion by Kevin Knox, 2nd Darrell Thompson to adjourn the annual meeting. Time 8:47pm
